Duke of Edinburgh spends sixth night in hospital

The Duke of Edinburgh has spent a sixth evening in hospital.

Philip, 99, obtained no additional visits from royal relations on Sunday after his eldest son, the Prince of Wales, attended King Edward VII’s hospital in London on Saturday afternoon.

The duke was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night as a precautionary measure after feeling unwell. He’s stated to have walked in unaided.

Buckingham Palace stated there was no replace on the duke’s situation, having beforehand stated he was “in good spirits”.

His eldest son Charles made a 200-mile round-trip from his residence in Highgrove, Gloucestershire, on Saturday afternoon.

Charles was the primary member of the royal household to go to the duke and it’s understood that his go to was resulting from his father’s prolonged keep.

There have been no additional visits to the duke by relations on Sunday, although police and safety vehicles remained in place on the hospital all through the day.

Royal writer Penny Junor advised PA: “We do all know he doesn’t like fuss, and he would regard a go to as fuss.”
