Victoria Park: Man in 80s dies after falling from height near Tower Hamlets park

A man in his 80s has died after falling from a residential building near Victoria Park in East London.

Police were called at 12pm on Sunday (February 14) to reports of a man having fallen from a height in St Mark’s Gate, Tower Hamlets.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

“A man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and officers will assist with preparing a report for the coroner.”

His next of kin have been informed.
