Bale reminds Mourinho what he can offer

For a brief few seconds, it looked like Gareth Bale was back to his best and about to score a goal of the season contender at the Etihad Stadium.

The forward saw his shot from distance blocked, the ball fell nicely for him a second time and instead of shooting again he first jinked past three Manchester City players on the edge of the box before getting a shot on goal.

Unfortunately for Spurs and Bale, his shot was saved by Ederson, but it was a timely reminder to his boss of what he can offer.

Skipp shines on loan

Saturday was not a good day in general for Tottenham Hotspur with the Lilywhites going down 3-0 to Man City, however, one Spurs midfielder did have a great afternoon.

Oliver Skipp put in a man of the match performance for Championship club Norwich City as he led them to a 4-1 victory over Stoke City and a return to the top of the league table.

Wenger claims Kane is not fit

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger raised concerns about Harry Kane’s fitness, claiming he is not fit enough to play at a high intensity.

“He looks physically, fitness-wise, not completely ready to play at that intensity,” he told beIN Sports.

“To me he looks still a bit injured on his ankle when he got hurt one time, he went down quickly and it was not a big hit.”

Kane came close to opening the scoring smashing a free-kick against the crossbar in the first-half but otherwise failed to stretch Ederson the Manchester City goal and cast a downbeat figure walking off the pitch at the final whistle.
