Brockwell Park stabbing: Live updates as police descend on South London park after daylight knife attack

A person has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a South London park.

Emergency services were called to Brockwell Park in Brixton at shortly before 1.50pm on Sunday (February 14) to reports of a knife attack.

The victim, whose gender or age has not been revealed, was found at the scene suffering from a stab injury.

Pictures taken from the scene of Brockwell Park show a collection of police response vehicles massing at the entrance to the park.

An air ambulance also landed within the park.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told MyLondon: “We were called at 1.48pm today (February 14) to reports of a stabbing in Brockwell Park, Brixton.

“We sent two ambulance crews, a medic in a car, an incident response officer, and we also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“A person was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

The victim’s condition is currently unknown.
