What Manchester United ace Mason Greenwood said after leaving West Ham’s Mark Noble bamboozled

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has spoken about his piece of skill that saw him beat Mark Noble during West Ham’s 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford in the FA Cup.

Controlling a high-ball midway inside his own half Greenwood took one touch with his left foot before spinning on the ball and knocking it between Noble’s legs and sprinting away from the Hammers captain.

The speed, as much as the skill, was breathtaking and drew audible cheers from the Manchester United bench and substitutes.

Fortunately for Noble, team-mate Declan Rice was on hand to sprint after Greenwood and intercept his pass. No mean feat considering the 19-year-old’s raw pace.

Replying to the comment of “Everyone is going at Mark Noble because you ripped him.”

Greenwood said: “I sent him back to what…1876?” Adding, “Yeah bro he got spun!”

Quite some claim for a move that despite its quality ultimately ended with Greenwood playing a pass directly at a West Ham shirt when there were Manchester United players free to continue the attack.

The United teenager wasn’t the only man to be impressed with his move. Former West Ham and Man United star Rio Ferdinand took to Twitter to announce “I love you Nobes but Maceeey Maceeeey wow!” with Peter Crouch adding his own opinion “Scandalous. Don’t do that to Nobes no one saw it.”

West Ham travel to Old Trafford again next month in the Premier League and Noble and his Hammers team-mates will be keen to exact revenge by claiming three points.
